The Brief
Pet Connect is a mobile app built as a one-stop shop for pet owners. It combines a social feed for sharing pet moments with a directory of pet services, so owners can find a vet, book grooming or daycare and arrange dog walks without leaving the app. Softzee designed and built the Pet Connect mobile app.
The Challenge
Pet owners were juggling social apps, phone calls and walk-ins to look after their pets, with nothing tying the community and the services together.
Give pet owners a social space to post, follow, comment and message, built around their pets rather than themselves.
Put vets, groomers, daycare and dog walkers in one place, with ratings, distance and prices visible before booking.
Let owners book a vet slot or a daycare day in a few taps, and keep track of appointments and orders afterwards.
Help people find pets by type, breed, age, gender and colour, with the details that matter shown up front.
The Solution
We designed and built a mobile app that starts with the community and leads naturally into services, so a post about a pet is only a tap away from booking care for it.
Pet social feed
Posts, stories, likes, threaded comments and follows, plus direct messages between pet owners.
Vet directory and booking
Vet profiles with experience, patient count and reviews, and a schedule picker for booking a visit hour.
Grooming and daycare
Nearby groomers and daycare centres with distance and ratings, bookable by the day.
Dog walks with live map
Pick a walk route and follow the walker on a map from pick-up to drop-off.
Pet listings and filters
Listings with age, weight and gender, filtered by pet type, category, breed, colour and passport status.
Profiles, orders and appointments
Owner and pet profiles, order tracking and a single list of upcoming appointments, with sign in through Apple or Google.
